Let us then never be unmindful of these things, "but bear- ing them about, engraven on our hearts, may advance and grow in that faith which is effectual unto every good work." Thanks again to our Choir at Scugog for the two lovaly Anthems rendered at the Morning and Evening Services. Thanks also to Mr. Wright Crosier and Mrs. Lucille Gray of Manchester for their lovely Duet. The Minister's theme on Sunday Evening was "The Little Foxes," and the Text was "Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines, for our vines have tender grapes," (Song of Sol. 2:15) The theme is a song of love as one starts out-on the ad- | Venture of life." The world is rosy, , and bright, and our hopes are high. But our dreams may tumble, because of some insignificant thing. The pro- mise of a rig harvest of luscious grapes lost, betause of the little foxes that get in among the vines, and des- troy the tender shoots. And the long- er the little foxes are allowed to re- main, the more devastating the des- truction. It was good advise an old charwoman gave to a girl who set on her front steps, utterly dejected and beaten: "Life ain't all you want honey; but its all you got. So stick a daisy in your hat and be happy". Like the tree on the slopes of Long's Peak in Colorado that had stood for 400 years! It had weathered many storms, and been struck by lightning 14 times, vet remained upright. However it was attacked by little beetles that ate under its bark, and destroyed by their tiny incessant attacks. Let 'us get rid of our little foxes and beetles. The Service was held in the Funeral Parlors in Port Perry, with Rev. J. K. Brah#nr "in charge, assisted by Rev. R. H, Wylie. It was a large funeral, ag Russell was not only active in Church work; but also in the Council and in Politics. Both members of the Federal and Provin- cial Parliaments were present, In- terment was at Prince Albert Ceme- tery. God has a wonderful way of healing the hurts of life, and we com- mend Mrs. Hood and the four child- ren, and the many other dear .ones, to the tender mercies of our God in Christ. Please come and worship with us on Sunday. Remember the coming of God's Kingdom in your private pray- ers; and then help to make your pray- ers come true by attendance at your Church on Sunday.
