After the singing of hymn prayer was offered by Mrs. B. Wana- maker. The Scripture lesson was read by Mrs. G. Stone and topic on Repen- tance given by Mrs. Fishley. A new Year's poem was read by Mrs. M. Bruce. Hymn closed the worship period. Minutes were read and approved. 18 ladies paid their membership fees. [Reports weré received for past year. Treasurer reported receipts for year, $967.00 with a Bal. on hand of $127. Several thank-you notes were read. A motion was passed that W. A. pay caretaker and organist for coming year. It was decided that in place of birthday box that each lady pay a cent a pound for their weight at next meeting. Also that mite boxes be used among the members. After con- siderable discussion, it was decided we would make usé of the literature available in the presbytery that would be suitable to the sick and he- reaved. Lunch was planned for the congregational meeting for Jan. 16. A lovely gift was presented to the past president for her work in past two years, which was gratefully re- ceived.
