The children's Choral number was much appreciated. Mrs. Jack Witherspoon and Mar- garet Anne and the latter's teacher and husband attended the North American figure skating champion- ships in Rochester U.S.A. on Sunday. The Women's Association met at | the home of Mrs. Theo. Stevens last { Thursday with sixteen members pre- sent. The meeting opened with hymn "What A Friend We Have In Jesus" "followed by prayer by Rev. Mr. Bra- ham. Mrs. Stevens read the Scrip- ture and Mrs. Aletha Holtby gave !'the lesson story also a reading "The Mind of Martha". Pres. Mrs. Caw- ker took charge of the business ses- sion. Handel spent the week-end in Toronto with his family, Mrs. A. Handel spent Monday visit- ing her father Mr. W. Poole of Osh- awa. Mr. and Mrs, E. Ballard visited at Russ Ballard's Monday afternoon. Mrs. Russ Ballard is spending some time with her daughter Mrs. Morris Rints of Port Perry. Mr. and Mrs! Charlie Gourlie spent the week-end in Toronto. Mr. Marshall Sharrard calling on Mr. and Mrs. Talbert Evans and Mr, and Mrs. Jack Johnson on Thursday evening. The Charivari gang gathered at Mr. Marshall Sharrard's on Friday evening. Prospect Thirty-four persons from this com- munity enjoyed a Bowling Party, con- vened by Janet Vernon, for the W.A., at Causeway Lanes, Port Perry on Feb. 5th. After the games, the la- dies served lunch at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Murray Holtby. Mrs. Mosinko was hostess to the W.A. on Thursday evening. Willa Holtby conducted the opening exer- cises, Following the motto and a hymn, Rev .Braham offered prayer. Willa read the Scripture Lesson and Tot Holtby gave the Lesson Thoughts and prayer. She continued with the business session. * Social activities.for February were discussed.
