Our new faces on the Session are: Messrs. George Edgar, Stewart Rodman, Anson Ger- row, Clifford Redman, Laverne Mar- tyn and Garnet Cochrane. On the Board of Stewards: Wright Crosier, William McCartney, Jack Holtby, Jim Smitherman, Cameron Aldred, Clar- ence Carter, Nelson Reader, John Sweetman, Ronald Edgar, Alvin Heayn, Jack Manns, and Melville King. Our Recording Steward is Mr. Leslie Smith. Amongst the ladies we have for the first time Mrs. J. B. Cawker, Mrs. Arnold Roach, Miss Marjorie Milner, Mrs. Jack Manns, Mrs. Doug. Aldred, Mrs. Clare Vernon, Mrs. Nel- son Reader and Mrs. Helen Holtby., The most outstanding event of the year was the Union of the Churches on the Island. We received into mem- bership twenty-one on Profession of -Faith, and nineteen by letters of trans- fer. A new interest has been created, and our congregations are very much enlarged. Our membership is as follows: -- Scugog 128; Manchester 46; Prospect 25; making a total of 198 members. During the year there were twenty- three Baptisms and Seven Burials. Tribute was paid to those who had passed on, as their names were read, and the Minister led in prayer. A Jr, Young Peoples' Society has been or- ganized, to be known as the "P.M.S. HiC Club", P--for Prospect, M--for Manchester, S--for Scugog, Hi--for High School students, -and C--for Christ centered, We will meet on the 2nd and Ath Thursdays of each month alternating between Manchester and the Island. Our Chief Counsellor is Nettie Aldred, and our President Gary Edgar. A Junior Choir of thirty-five has been organized, and many thanks Ladies of the Island for the lovely surplices and neckpieces they have made.
