Betty now plans to attend the Ontario College of Education for the 10 weck summer course and has accepted a position as a Commercial Teacher at the George Harvey Vocational School in Toronto. } Heartiest congratulations, Betty. The. Bay of Quinte Conference will meet in Renfrew on Tuesday, June 4, and will close on the Friday afternoon. Your minister will be away duing that week. We are asking the Junior choir to lead in song at our Evening service in Scugog "Grace" Church on Sunday, June 9th, when all the Stow- ards -of the Pastoral Charge will be dyly. installed in their office; and all the Elders will be ordained. Notices are being sent out to our Stewards and Elders; and we hope all will be present thmt evening. This date was set at meeting of our Official Board. US We would like to have a Male Choir for "Father's Day" on Sunday, June 16. A list of all the men on the Island who have been heard to sing is being prepared, and they will be asked to attend one or two practices at the Church. We would like to have Choir of twenty or more. a Our P.M.S. Hi C Club closed with a "bang". Our bowling party was very successful, and we were able to more than fill the six alleys. Many had never bowled before; but once they got rted, they enjoyed it. There were ample funds to meet all our expenses, and we say "Thank you one and all for a lovely closing of our Club." There are rumours of a "Weiner roast" sometime, somewhere in the Summer. The Counsellors and Executive will meet and plan for same. It would also be a good thing if we could have those of our young people who can sing, to lead in song,, and take part in one of our services during the summer. This would bring us all together again, and be inspiritual for us all. Congratulations to Ruth Braham who received her Bachelor of Nursing Tr Science degree last Saturday at Queen's University, Ruth will be on Duty at the Port Perry Hospital for June and July. Our prayers and sympathy and hot wishes to the Gerrows on the Island in"the serious illness of Mrs, Fran§ 44 Gerrow.
