In the Evening, Scugog Choir will sing. Special envelopes have been sent out, and we have set our financial objective for $500.00. This will include the proceeds of our Turkey Supper on Wednesday even- ing. The price of the Supper will be $1.25 for Adults, and .75¢c. for child- ven. We hope that the friends of Manchester will be with us on Sunday, and we invite the Island folk particu- larly to the Evening Service. The ladies in particular, appreciate the "Mary and Martha Story". Congratulations to several from our locality who won their share of prizes at Port Perry Fair. A speedy recovery to Miss Marion Martyn who was badly bitten by a dog requiring. hospital attention for a few days. Miss E. Edwards, Toronto, and the Misses Stovin, Port - Perry, were guests of Mrs.. Luke one afternoon last week, Miss Linda Smith, Toronto, spent a week recently holidaying with her grandmother Mrs. G. R. Smith and aunt Miss E., Spence, Mrs. Ecclestone visited on Sunday with Mrs. McKerihan who returned to Toronto with her a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Wilson, Osh- awa with his brother Mr. and Mrs. N. Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. L. Glasgow and sons of Brusselles spent a few days with her sister Mr, and Mrs. G. Hunters. The parents Mr. and Mrs. A. Robert- son returned home with the Glasgow's for a holiday, The funeral of the late Mrs. James McCulloch was held on Monday, Aug. 26th in Toronto. Deceased was 99 years of age. Mr. (Who passed on several years ago) and Mrs. McCul- lock, formerly lived in our village, on the farm where Mr, and" Mrs. Ross Murphy now reside. Their family, two daughters, survive, Mrs, C. Pat- terson of Philadelphia, U.S.A. and Miss Edith McCulloch, Toronto. Mr. and Mrs. L. Timlack, Toronto, with Miss F. Holman over the week- end. Mrs. L. Smith was in Toronto a few days. Miss Lulu Heard, a former resident here, was in the village last week. Mr. and Mrs. M. Luke, Paul' and Ro- bert, Hamilton with Mrs. C. Luke a few days. Rev, C.
