We were pleased to have Mr, and Mrs. Braham and Mrs. Hood with us, After the opening hymn, which was a favourite Christ. mas Carol, Rita Reader read our pray- er. . The, Christmas. story from the book of Luke was read by Rita Wil. son. 'The story of Mary was read by Rita Reader. Our roll call was an- swered by "a Christmas gift we would |. like to. receive". Thank you cards and expressions of thanks were re- ceived from the Trew family of Osh- awa, Marion Carter, Mabel Hood, Isa- belle Reader, and a very nice letter and donation from Olive Cox. ~ Re- ports from the treasurer, the sick committee and the Hospital Auxjliary were given. Fifty draw sheets have been sewn for the Hospital, and there will be a home baking Bile in connec- tion with the Do]l Draw to be held In the Catholic Church hall on Dec. 14. Contributions for the baking sale will be appreciated. It was decided to have a Pot Luck Supper on Dec. 9th. The program began with a Christ- mas song contest by Betty Reader. Joyce and Dorothy tied for the prize. Then Rita Wilson led in a sing song of Christmas Carols, with some mem- 'bers taking part in duets, trios and quartets. As far as we know no new talent was disclosed by these improm- ptu pongfests, Our annual exchange of Christmas gifts then took place, with the usual happy results. All children present received candy canes. A delicious lunch was served by Rita Wilson's group. The Pot Luck Supper at thé Head Tea Room last Mondy evening was not as largely attended as usual due. to soe illness in the community, but those who were there report a most enjoyable time, and a fine supper. The Head Christmas Concert will be held on Friday evening, Dec. 20th 80 please keep that date in mind. Mr, and Mrs. W. Bragg of Provi- dence were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. S. Rodman, Mr, Anson Gerrow was kind enough to take a carlodd to attend the Feder- ation of Agriculture Annual meeting and Banquet held in the Greenbank Unig Chyreh on Wednesday evening, .. 4th. Thanks to the adults who provided' transportation. Last Friday night was a night of cards when Good Neighbor's Service Club sponsored their first fall tele- phone euchre. Three members kindly offered their homes for this event; Winnifred Middleton, 5 tables, Flor- ence Smith, five and Ilean Pugh four tables.
