ONTARIO COUNTY SOIL AND CROP IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION HOLDS Successful Meeting The Annual Meeting of the Ontario County Soil and Crop Improvement Association was held in the Legion Hall, Uxbridge, On-Friday, December 6, with approximately 120 farmers in attendance. The meeting started at 10.45 a.m. with President Murray | Holtby, in charge. Reports of the various projects as carried out in 19567 'were discussed with H. L. Fair, Sidney MacDonald, and the various co-operators who took part in the different tests and de- monstrations during the year. Jones, Field Husbandry Dept., 0.A.C., Guelph, gave a splendid talk on chemical wood control in corn and other cereal crops. He paid par- ticular attention to experimental work done, at the O.A.C. this year on pre- emergence sprays for the control of woods in corn fields. It was decided to hold the Annual Seed Fair again this year. The de- tails regarding the place, date and} programme for the Seed Fair were turned over to the 1958 Project Com- mittee.
