) Change may be Made in Oshawa ~ Road ~The Oshawa Suburban Road Com-' mission who have charge of the road way from Oshawa to Port Perry, known to most people of this area simply as the Oshawa Road, are at present considering the- advisability of constructing a by-pass of the ham- Jet of Raglan. As is well known by local divers the . road now passes . through the" hamlet in a sharp curve. 'Because of the increasing amount of traffic us-' ing this road .it has been suggested that a by-pass which would straight- en the road and skirt the village would have the effect of cutting down on the number of accidents. While no decision has yet been reached surveys and estimates will be made for further study. It is believed that with the new underpass at the Raglan railway crossing and the con- stantly -increasing traffic a change in the present road way could make for less potential danger in this vi- cinity. ; ."G 0 0 D NIGHT," T.V. New Waterworks Regulations BY-LAW NO. 1297 A By-Law to Amend the Amending By-Law No. 1250 to Regulate, Manage and Control the Water- works System of the Village of Port Perry. Whereas the Council of the Village of Port Perry, hereinafter called the "Corporation" deems it necessary to make an amendment to the Amend- ing By-law No. 1250 in order to conm- trol the water services in buildings containing more than one unit, And whereas the Corporation re- serves the right at any time and from time to time to amend, alter or change the regulations governing the Cor- poration Waterworks System. And whereas Clause five (5) of By- law No. 1250 reads as follows: "Where water service is supplied to a dwelling having more than one fam- ily or a business building having more than one business, one bill shall be rendered for one service multiplied by the number of household or business units, If the dwelling is metered then one bill shall be rendered for the minimum charge multiplied by the number of household units and the balance of the consumption if any billed at prevailing rates. Water bills to be sent to the owners unless auth- orized in writing to do otherwise." Therefore the Corporation enacts read as follows: to a dwelling having more than one family or any building containing more than one dwelling unit, one bill shall be rendered for one multiplied by the number of house- hold or dwelling units. If the dwell- bill shall be rendered for the minimum charge, multiplied by the number of household or dwelling units and the balance of the consumption if any, billed at the prevailing rates and in accordance with the number of units.
