All enjoyed the beautiful scenery around Banff and many other points enroute to Butedale, a little mining town about 100 miles this side of Alaska on the Pacific coast where she and a friend spent two week caravaning this sum- mer. Miss Carol Lamb and friend from Lindsay, visited Mrs. Thos. Smith on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wright spent the week-end with relatives in Bancroft. The O.N.O. meeting is to be held November 6th instead of the 13th at the home of Connie Swain. Mrs. George Fowler visited in Tees- water over the week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Stan Hall and family of Tyrone visited Mr. and Mrs. Stan Rahm and family on Sunday. The Scouts are very grateful to all ttles Tuesday evening and a special thank you to those who loaned trucks and cars. Some changes have taken place in the village--Mr. and Mrs. Ray McGill have moved to Oshawa and Mr. and Mrs, Frank McCormick and family to Bowmanville. Graham and Miss Verena, ST. JOHN'S W. A. St. John's W.A. met in the Parish Hall, on Thursday, October 23, at 8 p.m. with 18 members present. The meeting opened with a hymn and fol- lowed by, the devotional by Mrs. Gra- ham. The Treasurer's showed a sub~ stantial balance in the bank. No minutes were heard from the Sept. meeting due to the absence of the secretary, Mrs. Bone. Reports were read on the results of the Variety Sup- per held on October 16. Also a re- port on the Deanery meeting at New- castle, Sept. 26th, by Mrs. Graham, and Deanery officers report of meet- ing at Port Hope by Mrs. Langfield. An offer of the gift of a stove for the kitchen from Mra. Carter, was grate- fully accepted. Members were re- minded to bring in their Thank Offer- ing boxes. It was decided to hold a bazaar sometime in November, the date to be announced later on. Winch and daughter had dinner with Mr, and Mrs. Mitchell on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Popadenic have moved to their home in Zephyr this week. Mrs. J.
