Rest- Interment - Pine Anglican Notes The proposed new addition to the Parish Hall was the chief topic of dis- cussion at the Sunday School Teach- ers' meeting held on Thursday, Feb. 19th. The group considered the use to be made of the new space for Sun- day School classes and decided that some recommendations should be made to the Building Committee regarding the needs of the Sunday School. It was decided that each teacher Fi RR a PET in terms of such things as cupboard space, small furniture, ete. and draw up a list of suggestions. At the next meeting it is hoped to produce one list of suggestions for the new building, tee would want to know what was most useful to the Sunday School be- fore going ahead with the addition. The suggestion was made that the teachers try to arrange a tour of other recently built Anglican Church halls and Sunday School facilities to get a better idea of what arrangements are possible and practical. St.. John's, York Mills and St. Mary's, Richmond Hill were two parishés mentioned as possibilities. Mr. Fuller said he would try to arrange such an excursion, There was some discussion-of pre- gent Sunday School organizational de- tails, and of means of encouraging bet- ter attendance. The meeting closed with prayer. Refreshments were serv-| ed by Mrs. Fuller. The Brownies and Cubs paraded to our Church for the 11.80 service last Sunday morning. The Church was filled to capacity, many parents of the Brownies and Cubs joined the con- gregation for the things Our Lord directed his followers to do. The Ministry of Healing, long neglected by the church, has in recent years come to the fore. - In this connection, the Church of the Ascension will hold a Service for Healing, with the laying on of hands at 8 p.m. on Maundy Thursday, March 26th. The service for Healing from the new Draft Pray- er Book will be used. As a preparation for this, the Rector is discussing the Healing ministry in a series of ser- mons at the 10 a.m. Holy Communion Services being held each Wednesday in Lent. We have heard of these-- "The Teaching of the Draft Prayer Book concerning the Healing Minis- --the Requisites of Healing" on the past three Wednesday mornings. The three remaining are: "Confession and Absolution--the Necessary Condition for. Healing", "The Laying on of Hands and Annointing with Oil--the Normal Means of Healing" and "The Holy Communion--the Normal Con- text of Healing", to be given on March 4th, 11th, and 18th, respectively. Those who are unable to attend day- time services are reminded of the shortened Evensong and address to be held at 8 p.m, on Wednesday, March consider the requirements of her class, 4th and Wednesday March 18th.
