Dowson conducted the busi- ness period. The secretary, Joan Lane called the roll and read the minutes. The treasurer's report showed that $97.12 has been received in offerings {this year to date. Hazel Crawford read a letter from the new supply secretary regarding the supply allocation. A missionary banquet was discussed as a fall project in co-operation with the afternoon auxiliary, A missionary evening to be held in the Eaton Auditorium was announced. This meeting is open to the public and will be held on Thursday evening, May 28th. The 'theme for the evening is Christian Missions in Africa. Two pictures, filmed in Africa recently, will be shown. The June meeting was discussel and it was decided to accept Mrs. Litt's in- vitation to her home. The committee in charge is Kay Pickard, Hazel Craw- ford, and Elsie Challis, The Bay of Quinte Conference an- nual school for. leaders at Whitby Ladies' College will be held this year from August 17th to August 21st, The worship service was opened with a call to worship by Joan Lane. Hymn 262 was sung. Joan read the story of Cornelius from Acts 10, and led in prayer. The worship service service was closed with the singing of hymn 249. Thelma Beare reviewed the last chapter of the study book called "Christianity's Second Chance." At the conclusion of this review Dora Dowson showed a film entitled, "Our Town is the World." This was a lesson in human relationships. The committee served a delicious lunch to close the meeting with a time of fellowship. / Vote C.C.F.
