The Annual Meeting of Lindsay Presbyterial W.M.S. of the Presby- terian Church in Canada was held in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Lindsay, with Morning, Afternoon and Evening Sessions and the Presi- dent, Mrs. D, Whelan in the chair. The theme of the meeting was-- "Our World Wide Task", Mrs. John Wallace, president of the Lindsay Auxiliary, welcomed all the ladies to St. Andrew's Church. A business period followe d. Mj ed. McIntyre presented her which was very gratifying "a ed a substantial increase over 1968. The Corresponding Secretary, Mrs. C. B. Steele made two announcements. The Training School for Leaders will be held in Albert College, Belleville on July 10th-14th inclusive, and the Annual Meeting of Toronto-Kingston Synodical will be held in Kingston, April bth, 6th and 7th. Mrs. M. Ormerod, Recording Sec'y, presented a condensed report of the year's work as sent to her by the Auxiliary Secretaries. The Adult Groups showed a slight decrease in members but an increase in givings. During the year, Mrs. Whelan also attended the Synodical Annual in Pe- terborough, Council Annual in Belle- ville and Synodical Fall Board Meet- ing in Toronto. The Summer Rally will be held in Sonya on a date to be decided later. On motion of Mrs. Finney and Mrs. Black we shall send two girls to Camp again this year if possible, one from Sonya and the other from either North Eldon or Quaker Hill. The Synodical Annual will be in- vited to come to Lindsay in the Spring of 1961. ' A panel moderated by Mrs. H. C. Nicolls and composed of Mrs. C. Dal- gleish, Mrs. W. W. Finney and Mrs. C. Veale then introduced and discus- sed the 1959-60 Mission Study on Africa. The Morning Session closed with a hymn and a prayer. At 2 p.m. Mrs. Whelan called the meeting to order with a Call to Wor- ship. A hymn was sung and a num- ber of ladies led in a chain of prayer. Mrs. J. D. MacFarlane then con- ducted a very impressive "In Mem- oriam" Service for Members who had passed on during the year. Miss Hanes, a graduate of the Deaconess and Training School in Toronto, who was present with us, read the names of the deceased. Mrs. MacFarlane read two passages of Scripture, clos- ing with prayer. . Roll wag called and responded to by eighteen Auxiliaries. Cresswell Auxiliary conducted the Devotional period. Mrs, Lester Lake read the Bible passage from Romans. Mrs, Robt. Wood led in prayer. Offering was then received and dedicated by Mrs, Wood. Mrs, Fairlie of Wick favoured the meeting with a beautiful message in song. Rev. C. J.
