L AR Obituary CHARLES RAY McGILL The death occurred very suddenly Friday, March 4th of Charles Ray McGill, Mr, McGill was at work at Gen-Auto Shippers when he died. He! was in his 67th year. Born in Manvers Township, Mr, McGill was the only son of the late Mr: and Mrs. Chas, MecGill., In 1929 he was married in Janet- ville to Myrtle Armstrong and to- gether they farmed on Lot 24, Con- cession 4 of Cartwright until 1952, when they sold their farm and moved into the village of Blackstock. He drove the bus for two or three 'years, then secured a job with Gen-Auto Shippers where he had been until death claimed him. One and a half years ago they purchased a new home and moved. to 1140 Somerville St. Oshawa. He is survived by his wife and only sister. (Mildred) Mrs. Mer- | vin Mountjoy, Hampton, The. body rested at McDermott- Panabaker Chapel, Port Perry where services were conducted by Rev. H. A. Mellow, pastor of North Minster United Church, Oshawa, on Monday. Interment was in Fenelon 'Falls cemetery. Pallbearers were Messrs. We are indeed fortunate in our auxiliary to have Miss E, Harris as our literature secretary. Miss Harris reviewed a number of books and mag- azine writings mostly on Africa and reported on books obtainable in our public library, Her efforts help each member to more fully understand our study book this year, The Worship period was conducted by Mrs. Buckner, Thenie of worship --"Security found in 23rd Psalm". Mrs. Ploughman read the 28rd Psalm and prayer. Mrs. Buckner brought out the security found in this most and best loved shepherd's Psalm. Mrs, Cawker and Mrs. Buck- ner favored with a lovely duet-- "Shepherd of Love". Our guest speaker Mrs, Porter gave a most interesting review of a chap- ter in Study Book "Africa Disturbed" showing the political and union strife in Africa.
