Board of Health Meeting Minutes of a Meeting of the Port Perry Board of Health, held in the Municipal Office on Monday, June 6, 1960 at 7.30 p.m. PRESENT--Reeve J. J. Gibson in the chair, Dr, G. M. Rennie, M.0.H., Mr. J. C. Whitby and Secretary, J, F. Raines. READING OF MINUTES -- The Minutes were adopted as read en Mo- by Dr. G. M. Rennie. THE WATER & MILK SUPPLIES for the Village were discussed and appeared to be quite satisfactory, samples being tested periodically. SCHEDULE "A" of BY-LAW No. 1320 giving the Plans and Specifica- tions for Septic Tanks and Disposal Fields was studied, as the Board felt that Sanitation is our worst problem and sewers may be the answer, as many of our ditches are polluted. HEALTH UNIT DISCUSSED--Dr. Rennie reported that a Health Unit has been considered but it is wonder- ed if the Village would derive. suf- ficient benefit to warrant the cost involved, which would be about $1.00 per capita, He felt that a Health Nurse for one or two days a week would be less expensive and that we might obtain better service in certain fields of the work, especially until the whole County approves of the Health Unit, On Motion the Board adjourned.
