One of Canada's most versatile actors, he presents short dramatic readings on subjects ranging over the whole field of theatrical history. No Fun tobe Frantic "The day has gone," claims the Canadian Highway Safety Council, "when the motorist on vacation must scurry like a hound hare over the highway." "Relax!" is the holiday highway slogan today and the Council has issued a plea to all vacationing motor- ists to drive for pleasure, allot plenty of time for the trip, stop often and, most important, forget about Jjockey- ing for position in traffic. "Motor- ing can be fun," the Council claims, "but not if it's frantic." The Council issued this plea for re- laxed driving in connection with the continent-wide "Slow Down and Live" Campaign, scheduled to run through June, July and August in Canada, the United States and Puerto Rico. Spon- sored nationally in Canada by the CHSC, the campaign operates inter- nationally under the guidance of the Association of State and Provincial Safety Co-ordinators. It's 1960 theme is: "Highway Safety Makes Driving Fun." "Slow down and Live" promotion will include urgent requests that motorists obey the rules of the road no matter where or in what country they drive. Relaxed and resourceful driving, CHSC said, can bring back some of the enjoyment in motoring that existed before the highways be- came overpopulated with vehicles.
