Teams from Oshawa, Whitby, Cannington, Port Hope, Lindsay, and Port Perry participated in a Mixed Trebles, and all had praise for the condition of the greens, and the hospitality af- forded them by the Local Club, The Ladies section of The Port Perry Club provided refreshments be- tween games, which were very much enjoyed by all. The high Three Game Winner was J. Hunter of Osliawa, with a score of 66 plus 7. Mr. Rennick is the son of Mrs. Thomas Rennick of Toronto and the late Mr. [(Rennick. Mr. and Mrs. Rennick made their home in and around Downsview, prior to coming to Port Perry, some six years ago. Mr, Rennick has been con- nected with the Timothy Eaton Stores and just before his retirement recelv- ed recognition for his twenty-five years of service with this large or ganization. "Meet The Champs" Hockey Dinner Next Tuesday evening will bring to a close the official hockey season here in Port Perry with the citizens having the opportunity to meet and honour their Championship Team, the Port Perry Juveniles, O.M.H.A. Ju- venile "C" Champions, We have been very fortunate in se- curing the services of Mr. Jack Rox- burgh, President of the C.A.-H.A., as our guest speaker.-- Mr. Roxburgh in 1934 was first Secretary of the newly formed O.M.H.A., then President of the O.M.H.A. from 1936-38. Through the years he has been interested in hockey in his own community and throughout the rest of the Province, In 1950 Mr. Roxburgh was elected President of the O.H.A. and this year he was elected to the highest post in Amateur Hockey in Canada, President of the C.A.H.A. In Business life Mr. Roxburgh, a graduate of 0.A.C., is an active mem- ber of the Peach Growers Association at Simcoe, Ont. Last January the citizens of Sim- coe, Ont. tendered Mr. Roxburgh with an Testimonial Dinner for his years of work in Amateur Hockey through- out this country. Many hockey not- ables attended this surprise dinner in his honour, including the late George Dudley, longtime Secretary of the C.A.H.A.; Hockey's grand old man W. A. E. Mec- Neil united in Marriage Elsie Jane Harper, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Harper of Seagrave and Mr. Wm. Robert Roy. Mr. Roy is the son of Mr, and Mrs. Rob Roy, R.R. 4, Bowmanville. Organist Mrs. J. Tobin played the wedding music and accompanied so- loist Mr. Hugh Baird, who sang "The Wedding Prayer" and "0 Perfect Love". The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor-length gown of Chantilly lace and silk organza. The long sleeved bodice was fashioned with a sabrina neckline trimmed with se- quins and pearls and a very full or- ganza skirt over layers of net and crinolines, was caught up on hoth sides with a self material rose. Her elbow length veil of nylon illusion was caught to a pill box style head piece of matching Chantilly lace and net. Her only jewellery was a gold locket, a gift of the groom and she carried a cascade bouquet of red roses with white baby mums. The bride's sister Mrs. H. Payne, Seagrave as matron of honour was In romance blue silk organza, baller- ina length designed with a self rose at the waist in front and cap sleeves. Mrs. Wm. Fitze of Seagrave, the bride's cousin, and Miss Marie Long, of Prince Albert as bridesmaids were also in Romance blue ballerina length silk organza featuring shirred bho- dices, very full skirts and self bows at the back waistline. All wore wide brimmed white picture hats and ac- cesgories and coral necklaces and ear rings, gifts of the bride and carried nose-gays of white and blue baby mums. The groom's brother-in-law, Mr. Bill Henderson was hest man and Mr. Herb Payne, brother-in-law of the bride and Mr. Bernard Standish, both of Seagrave were ushers. The groom presented his attendents cuff links & tie bar. The reception was held at the home of the bride's parents, where her mo. ther received the guests in a mauve and white linen sheath, white acces gories and white picture hat and a corsage of yellow mums. She was assisted by the groom's mother in blue lace over 'taffeta with white picture hat, black accessories and corsage of tinted red and white mums. As the couple left on a wedding trip to points west, the bride's travelling costume was a sea blue embossed dress, light blue duster, white acces- sories and corsage of pink and white baby mums. They will reside at R.R.
