Wanamaker attended the W, A. convention in Fenelon Falls last Tuesday. Everyone was pleased to see such a large crowd out to church on Mo- thers Day. It was a combined service of Church and 8.8. conducted by Mr. M. Bruce and Rey, McNeil. The fol- lowing childrén were presented for baptism: = William 'James Richard Short, sot of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Short; Michael Joseph, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Doupe and Dorothy Louise, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Fitz, An enjoyable time was spent at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Morley Bruce on Saturday evening when friends and neighbours gathered to honour the re- cent marriage of Mr, and Mrs, Ivan Bruce. During the evening a mock wedding was performed by a group of people adding much to the merri- ment of the evening. Ivan and Joan were asked to take the special places and the following address was read by Mur. Cliff Short: To Ivan and Joan: For years we had inthis commumty a slim little boy, the youngest of the Bruce clan who was very mild and amusing in his ways. Naturally he grew up and took to roaring around on motoreycles (by the way collecting a scratched nose or two).
