The meeting was called to order by the President, Mrs. Ev. Stephens and all repeated the Scout Mothers' Pro- mise. The minutes of the last meet- ing were read and approved and the Treasurer's Report was heard. Mrs. Kennedy- relayed greetings to the Scout Mothers from Marg. Eden- borough and Lucille Mark. The Kén- nedy family paid a surprise visit to the Tag ongh and the Mark family this summer A discussion arose repsiding the new Sales Tax on banquets, ete. and since there seemed to be a difference of opinion among those present, LLLecona Ptolemy volunteered to look into the matter along with Doris How- sam. It was moved by ..ouella Kennedy & seconded by Mabel Cook that our lunches be simplified. Motion carried. Collection was then received after which the meeting closed with the Scout Mizpah. A lovely lunch was served by Lou- ella Kennedy, Jean Amell and Marion Bell, assisted by the hostess Kay Walker. Our October meeting is to be held in the home of Mrs, Mabel Cook on October 16th.
