Several from here attended the Auction Sale at the farm of the late Blake DeHart on Saturday. Miss Della Johnston of Uxbridge visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hopkins on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Wim. McAndless, Robt. and Lenore of Don Mills; Mr. and Mrs. K, Heron and son of Pickering were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs, Edgar Heron, Mr. and Mrs. FE. Batten of Oshawa were Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Batten. Mr. and Mrs, Wm. Johnston of Toronto attended anniversary service on Sunday morning and visited with Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Ashton during the afternoon. The Ontario County team for 1961 will consist of David Evans, Uxbridge, R. 8, Ted Gordon, Cannington, R. 1, and Ralph Honey, Seagrave. These young men earned the right to repre- sent the County by their performance at the County Judging Competitions in recent years. Since being selected, they have been receiving considerable coaching from their Agricultural Rep- resentative, H. L. Fair and the As- sistant, W. M. Kell. © The competition will be held on Thursday, November 9th, the. day prior to the opening of the Royal. Classes of beef cattle, dairy cattle, sheep, swine and hog carcasses will be judged, with the competitors be- ing required to give reasons on each class.
