Wonderous Cross" was sung and prayer by Mrs. McNeil. Scripture lesson from 1 Peter 5 was read by Mrs. Sweetman. Mrs. Murray of Woodville gave a most interesting and helpful talk on Symbols of the Christ- ian Church, Hymn "In the €ross of Christ I Glory" closed this part of meeting. Mrs. Abraham on behalf of the group expressed her thanks to Mrs. Murray for coming and speaking to the ladies. Mis. M. Bruce then took charge of meeting for the business, welcoming the ladies present,. especially our visitors from Woodville. Roll call was taken showing 35 ladies present. Collection of $8.75 and penny offering $2.65 received. Minutes of last meeting read and adopted. Mrs. Clements reported for parsonage telling of some repairs be- ing made. Report on the turkey sup- per told of toal receipts being $800.00, As all bills had not yet been paid the net proceeds were not reported. Mrs. Bruce thanked everyone for their work and support in making the sup- per the success it was. Mrs. Fishley reported for sick box committee. One thank you note re- ceived and two fruit boxes sent with a balance of $6.16 on hand. We were sorry to learn of Mrs, Grose being a patient in the hospital. A letter telling of the meeting for the provisional committee of the Pres- bytery to be held in Lindsay on Nov, 28th. A letter from Port Perry Hockey Club and Institute for the Blind were read. These were left over for an- other meeting, The South group announced that the December meeting would be Dec. 6th and also that they were taking orders for Christmas cakes this year. Mrs. McNeil invited all to her Xmas party, the date to be announced later. Hymn "0 Valient Hearts" & bene- diction closed the meeting.
