A short course on Copper Tooling was sponsored by the Honeydale Women's Institute and held in the Senior Citizen's Hall on Oct. 24th - 25th. Department of Agriculture, Economics Service, and was in Economist. Rev. White presented the in- formation thro' film and in- formal discussion." We learned that plans for this New Curriculum of books, study and methods had been begun 12 years ago and should be com- pleted by the fall of 1964. The Revised Version of the Bible will be used throughout the les- sons, Lesson books will cover a year and will be repeated every ~Children--will be ex- pected to take their hard cover books back & forth between home & Sunday School. At the t end of the year they will be- come the property of the child. Type of material used by the teachers should be decided by should be financed from the church funds. Teachers' guides will be divided into" 3 sections such as Biblical background, leadership training in finding out how a child learns at each age and class sessions. Prior and his wife, Dr. Pearl Frior, returned world missionaries. Rev.. Pilkey gave an illustra- tive talk to describe to the vari- ous committees represented, the great need for mis¢sions under 5 'headings of Physical and Spiritual Funger, prejudice, di- sease, ignorance and war. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Don Gerrow with the boys and-An- son had dinner in Scarborough at the home of Bonnie's sister, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Young. Af: terwards: they met Mr. Ferris at the Malton Airport upon his return from Wales. Mr, and Mrs. Carl Graham had their .daughter, Dorothy, 3d family with them! on Sun- ay. Mr. and Mrs. Orval Heayn and boys drove to Peterborough on Sunday to spend the afternoon with Orval's sister Stella. and her family. .
