The total now stands at 2353 against 2366 at the same time 'ast year. These figures were released to the Star this week by the clerk-treasurer John F. Raines and it shows the first decrease in the population of Port Perry in several years. As can be seen from the different age groups below it was a decrease in the first age group from one to three years of 12. This happened also in the second group, but here the decrease was only six. In the third group the decrease was five, but the age group between 60-69 shows a slight increase of ten, while the oldest group remained the same.
