The "bakeless bake sale" netted a nice amount. Next meeting to be at Mrs. Carl Wrights in Jan- uary. Closed with prayer. 11 Adults and 2 children attended. The Candace Unit assembled at the home of Mrs, Ralph Larmer on Tuesday at 1 p.m. for dessert. Following which | The Dorcas Unit met at the home of Mrs. Fred Dayes on Wednesday at 2 p.m. Meeting opened with silent prayer and prayer by leader. At the 4-H Junior Award Mrs. Ro. | Mrs. Lloyd Wright, Mrs, Wal-, Night in Orono, Sat. 23rd, the following from. Cartwright re-' ceived awards: | Durham Beef Calf Club--Fred Taylor; Alice Taylor. Durham Dairy Calf Club Jr. Section--Sharon Larmer; Dennis McLaughlin; Tiovo Kinnunen & Bob McLaughlin. Senior members--Jim Byers. Holstein Club--Sharon Larmer. Sheep Club---Jim Byers and Silage also Jim Byers. Sharon Larmer also received a travelling clock--One of the E. A, Summers Memorial Fund Awards. The November Meeting of St. John's W.A. was held in the Parish Hall Nov. 21st. Pres. Mrs. J. Hamilton opened the meeting with Hymn "Jesus calls us O'er the Tumult" and read the story of St. Andrew from St. John's Gospel, also Litany and prayers. Treas. re- ported very gratifying returns from the recent supper and Bazaar. Corporate Communion will be Dee. 1st. Committee was formed to look after Christmas Cheer for the elderly people and shut-ins. It was also de- Cecil Hill; cided to help the S.S. Supt. with their Christmas party. President closed the meeting with prayer which was follow- ed by lunch of fruit Salad and Cake. Glad to report Mr. Ray Brad- burn, Mr. Bill Taylor and Miss Eva Parr all able to be home from Hospitals. We wish them all a speedy convalescence. Miss Elaine Mountjoy, King- ston; Miss Gertrude Henry and Miss Doris Griffin, Toronto and Mr. Larry Hoskin, Hamilton, spent' the week-end at their respective homes. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Dunsmoor and Beth visited friends in Durham and Mrs. McKechnie returned home with them. Mr, and Mrs, Ross McCann, Oshawa, visited Mr. and Mrs. Stan Rahm and family Sunday. - Mrs. M. Hepburn and sons Russel and Harold, Columbus were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Russel Mountjoy. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Mur- phy and Linda and Mrs, Bella Murphy, Toronto; Mrs. Edith Murphy, Tyrone were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Roy McLaughlin and family. Mr. and Mrs. Noel Morton and boys, Oshawa, were Sun- day guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bill. Ferguson and Mr. Roy Fergus- on. Sunday visitors with Mrs, E. Darcy and Mrs. I.
