AC SEL REG CTR ET CR GREENBANK NEWS A large crowd attended the "Christian Youth Sunday" ser- | vice which was capably con-, ducted by the young people of the congregation. The devo- tions were led by Morley Da- vidson, the Seripture was read by Linda Stone and Brian Har- "ris offered prayer. Margaret Spence read an appropriate poem and five girls, Kathy Cookman, Marie Ranes, Jo-An- ne Harris, Myrna Spencer and Pat Hunter contributed a song. The highlight of the service was the message on "Where are we Going", delivered by Edwin Me- Caig, in which he pointed out many evils confronting the youth of to-day and which make | it so difficult for them to lead Christian lives, The picture is very disturbing and very de- pressing but also very true. Unless - the seriousness of the situation is * recognized and squarely faced how can it be remedied ? We are indeed fortunate to have such a fine group of young people who are endeavouring to do just that. It makes one think that the future of our church is in good hands. May they continue in their good work. ©» Another pleasing feature of the service was the presentation of awards to members of the Young Worshippers' League for regular church attendance dur- ing 1963. The minister was as- sister by Mr. Albert Harper, the niewly-elected member of the Session. 'Those receiving awards were: First Year-- Earl Phoenix, Reg. Even if it is badly PORT PERRY STAR, THURS, FEB. 6th, 1964--5 perhaps Mr. Fix-it can repair it. Euchre decks are also need- ed and the Executive can pur- chase a number of these at a very reasonable price, so cash donations will be very accept- able.
