This was followed by a show- ing of coloured during a trip to Soviet Russia in the month of December last. These were presented, together with a most instructive com- mentary, by Mr. N. A. Sweet- man, Supt. of Toronto Public Schools'and by Mr. Anson Tay- lor, Director of Education for Scarboro Township. These men were members of a delegation from Canada which toured Rus- sia at the invitation of the Russian Government, and the pictures which they brought back served to provide much new light on conditions in a country in the mews these days. During intermission another highlight of the evening was provided by the singing of the Four-in-Accord Male Quartet. Perry Bantam All-Stars slapped down the Oshawa Ban- tams 5-1. Thiswas a fast played game, and the Port kids had a little too much on the ball for the Oshawa club. Had the Port team played like this before, th- ey probably would be in the playoffs. The boys are a good group, with a lot of speed and hussle. D.. McMaster with two goals led the assault for Port, - Bill Wanamaker, McNinley and -Skerrett picking up singles. The lone marker for Oshawa was scored by John Chouthier in the second period.
