After an evening of cards, the family sat down to a delic- ious meal. -- Present were the grooms two brothers," Gordon |, and Percy Jeffrey also his two sisters, Mrs. Bruce Snelgrove, and Mrs. Malcolm Bailey, with their husbands and wives. The brides two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Brunt, and Mrs. Howard Carn- ochan, also her two brothers, Gordon and Stewart Mark, al- ong with their husbands and wives included 26 present in all. An honoured guest was Mrs. Wm. Jeffrey, mother of the groom, who celebrated her 85th birthday this past Jan. A purse of money was 'pres- ented to the bride and groom of forty years from their. son, Clem and Marg. and daughter Lois and Walt. Unfortunately Lois who. re- sides in Calgary was unable to be present due to distance. Words "of "Congratulations" were © given by their oldest grandchild, - Cathy Jeffrey on behalf of their five grand- children. Cathy, Debbie and Paula Jeffrey, and Lynn' and Bobby Panasiuk, after which they were presented with a bouquet of forty red and white carnations. Numerous other gifts were received from the other mem- bers of the family. After cutting their wedding, a, few well chosen words of "Thank You" were given by the bride and groom. Grace United Church U.C.W. Grace U.C.W, was held at the home of Mrs. Boneschansker on Wednesday evening March 11. Fifteen members and two visit- ors were present. The President, Mrs. Prentic welcomed all present. The Ford's Prayer was repeated by a Mrs. Demara in charge of the devotion, read the Scripture les- son Matt. 27 verses 42-54, Carol Boneschansker gave a prayer. The evening started with a turkey supper prepared by the ladies of the Legion Auxiliary. During the dinner had the pleasure of introducing his son or daughter, to the ga- thering. The program, in charge of Irving Boyd, was much enjoyed by the children and the oldsters as well. Two films were shown on safety, Each film was in the form of a cartoon. The first film was about a family of Chimps, who lived in a modern each Lion | the story of proper use of a bi- cycle while riding on the roads. The second film was about a little Indian boy and depicted the story of how he learned the proper way of crossing streets in a large city. Following the films, Miss Jean Bright, a local dancing teacher was present and had a number of her pupils perform in a variety of dances. Miss Bright also delighted the audi- ence with a dance which she performed herself. The evening was brought to a close, and each' child received a bag of candy as they were leaving.
