Bright, president (for this district) for the Canadian diabetic association, welcomed a good crowd to a euchre held on Saturday in Citizen's hall, Apr. 26th. This is another splendid cause and no doubt the crowd would have been larger had it not been for the Hockey match, so many were at home watchs ing on T.V., results were ex- citing, Hurrah for the Maple Leafs). Eleven tables were set up for progressive euchre. Lucky winners: Ladies high-- Mrs, G. Bassant with a score of 86; Ladies second--Mrs. F, Mec- Lean, score 76! Consolation-- Mrs. M. Cullen, score 48. Gent's high-- (Mrs. Moase) playing as man--76; Gent's second -- (Tie between Morley Moase and Glen Howsam. Tie won by Morley Moase, score 72; Consolation-- John Bright, score 42, A prize was also. given for one with nearest birthday to date--Mrs. F. McLean received the prize.
