Mundy at the regular Sunday morning service of worship, May 3, in Brooklin United Church. The anthem sung by the Sr. choir was "Come Holy Ghost, Our Souls Inspire" - Palestrina. BROOKLIN -- The Annual Plant Auction of the Brooklin Horticultural Society was held recently in the C. E. Centre of Brooklin United Church. This was a highly successful event for the Society, netting a profit of $62.80 from the plant sale and $10.00 from the white elephants. Mr. R. Healey was auctioneer. It was decided to have a bus trip to the Ontario Horticult- ural Society Annual Conven- tion held at O. A.C. Guelph. A panel of Mothers pres- ented some of the pro's and con's of school uniforms for both boys & girls. Speaking for the pro's were Mrs. V. Wilson and Mrs. J. Bailey. For the con's were Mrs. C. Johnston and Mrs. S. Nolan. Mrs. Lawson, president of Colborne St. Home and School Association, Whitby also Mrs. Mathews, and their daughters were present to tell why they like school uniforms and why thev supported the program was proposed for their schools.
