¢ The regular meeting of Cart- wright Township Council was held in the evening of May 5th with all members present. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved and business arising therefrom briefly discussed. Mr. Frank Mollard Sr. of Windsor who has quite a pre- tentious summer home here at Scugog Point was present and pointed out to Council with the help of many legal documents that he controls all rights-of- way east of the Scugog Point: Road which leads to the lake, Mr. Arthur Bailey was briefly present requesting a bit of fill in the Parking Area adjacent to his property. Council moved on with the im- portant business of the meeting. By-Law 1105A a companion By-Law to the new Building By- Law to the new Building By- Law #1105, establishing pro- ceedures re: applications for Building Permits and prepay- ment of roadway accesses, was given final readings and de- clared passed. By-Law #1108 being the new 1964 Mill Rate setting By-Law which establish- ed 1964 Tax rate as follows: Board of Education--Resident rate of 40.6 mills and Commer- cial rate of 44.0 mills; Munici- pal rate of--Resident 20.0 mills and Commercial of 23.0 mills; County rate of 12.4, for a total Residential rate of 73.0 mills CARTWRIGHT COUNCIL, NEWS Final this By-Law and 1t too was passed, authorizing Tax De- mand Dates of June 830th and November 30th, 1964 with pen- alty and Interest thereafter. April Bills were presented for payment as follows: readings were given General Account -- $1,000.87 and Roads for $2,805.17 for a Total of $3,805.54.
