Arnold Heayn came 4th in the finals of the track meet at Alliston. Pat Aldred won the shot put at Newmarket and Marilyn Fralick won honours too with 3rd in 60 yd. dash and 6th in relay. : On Friday evening the Island girls played baseball at the Head School grounds.and won the game from the Port Perry girls. Roy earned 1st place with Bruce in 4th and Jimmy in 6th, At the Head S. S. during the last 2 Sundays we've been so pleased to again renew many years of associations with the former Gibbons sisters, Mrs. Ferrier of Beeton, Mrs. McCut- cheon of Willowdale, Mrs. Dun- bar and Mrs. Hanagan of Tor- onto. Senior Citizens The last euchre held at the Hall, Port Perry was on Satur- day, May 16th. This was the holiday week-end and we were pleased to see so many out to enjoy this pleasant evening. Many brought along their visit- ors. 17 tables were-set up and we can still accommodate sev- eral more and we would be de- lighted to have many more. It is with great pleasure that we can report, A wonderful day with real good sports, The trip to the Falls was really sublime, And believe it or not we were mostly on time, The buses were packed with the jolliest bunch, At Queenston Heights we had picnic lunch, Beautiful flowers and trees one can hardly describe, In the parks as we wandered side by side, We arrived home tired (We PORT PERRY STAR, THUR SDAY, MAY 28th, 1964 -- § club members aren't chickens), But we enjoyed the trip we Port Perry Citizens, Jimmy and Merv; as drivers you were superb, And hope we can go on this trip every year.
