The many friends in this area of the Rogers family were shocked to hear of his death. Sincere sympathy is extended to the bereaved ones. Mrs. F. Johnston and Mr. Wesley Johnston attended the Atha Centennial on Saturday. Mrs. Jo. Bain was in Toronto last Thursday. Mrs. Crosier attended the funeral of Mrs. Chas. Forsythe, Stouffville on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Johnston visited Mr. Jim Johnston at Princess Margaret Hospital Toronto on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Torrens and children of Kingston spent a day at her parents home here recently. Mr, and Mrs. Roy Dobson, Oshawa have moved on to the Dobson homestead. We welcome them. DIGNITARIES ADDRESS OPENING OF NEW "ODD FELLOWS HALL ~ Among the dignitaries who addressed the large gathering at the Official Opening of the New Odd Fellows Hall last Sat- urday evening were, on the left, Sister Jessie Hillier of Niagara Falls, vice-president of the Rehekah Assembly of Ontario, who brought greetings from Sister MacDonald, president of the Assembly; (Centre) Brother Earl Geer of Port Perry, District Deputy Grand Master of District No. 41, and Official Master of Ceremonies for the evening, who welcomed all members and friends who were present; and on the right, Sister Grace Love of Port Perry, District Deputy President of District No. 8, who gave an outstanding address on the co-operation between Maybelle Lodge and Warriner Lodge. Quite a number of folk en- joyed attending the official opening of the I.0.0.F. Hall on Saturday night. Mrs. Herman Keizibrink assist- ed by the father Mr. John Kie- zibrink opened the farm house to the rest of the family and close neighbours. The party of some twenty folk gathered to extend more greetings to Miss Ina Keizibrink, a nurse gradu- ate of the week. Everyone pre- sent enjoyed the liberal tasty lunch after which the family presented a lovely set of lug- gage to Ina for which she seem- ed most pleased to receive. Couples arrived from Oshawa, Scarboro, Raglan and Sunder- land. Monday evening all members but two were present for the G.N.S.Cluh annual dinner held at the Flamingo. As usual everyone enjoyed the delicious turkey meal plus the customary trimmings. At the conclusion year, our mystery sister was revealed. =A brief business meeting was chaired prior to evening entertainment in Osh- awa. Friday evening a surprise | dinner party was planned at the Pugh home in honour of Bonnie Pugh's birthday. Later in the evening the group of young folk were treated to a movie in Oshawa. Sunday guests with Mr. and Mrs. L. Hunter included their daughter Nola, her friend Mr. Karl Kyrytow, and his parents Mr. and Mrs. S. Kyrytow, all of Toronto. Mr. and Mrs. A. Snelgrove, Sarnia, spent the week-end with their cousins Mr. and Mrs, Snelgrove. Mr. S. Campsall, Toronto, vi- sited his sister Mr. and Mrs. H. Hodgins, Mr. and Mrs. G, Hunter, Lin- da and Susan visited cousins Mr. and Mrs. D. McAdam and family at Lakefield on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. E. Wagg, Osh- awa, with her father Mr. R.
