Corsages were pinned on each, followed by a surprise gift of similar crystal flower vases. The appropriate reply of each recipient bespoke her deep ap- preciation of the thoughtful gift, as each commented about the happy hours thé feeling of good-will among the teaching staff, as well as the continued friendly support, assistance, and understanding of the principal, Mr. Robert Archer, Chairman of the Public School Board, then spoke fittingly to Mrs. MacFar- lane, for the Board and citizens of Port Perry, commending her for her twenty incomparable years on the staff, also wishing her continued happiness during her retirement. The gift to her from the School Board was a beautiful, glass-topped, wal- nut coffee table to be used as a showcase for her fine rock col- lection.
