Mr. and Mrs. A. Carter and Mr. and Mrs. C. Carter were in Oshawa recently attending the Anniversary Alumni Dance at the General Hospital. Mrs. Gordon Munroe of Kelowna B.C. spent a few days with the Mrs. Carter's. Dairy Princess To Be Chosen Wed., July 15th The Ontario County Dairy Princess Competition will be held in conjunction with the County Holstein Club twilight meeting on July 15th. This event will be held at the farm of Mr. Lloyd Prouse, R.R. 1, Brooklin. Contestants must be 17 years of age by September 1st, and must reside on a dairy farm or ~ have been raised on a dairy farm. Contestants are required to milk one cow by machine and, in addition, must give a short talk of not more than 4 minutes. The county committee offers prize money to all contestants, with the winner being eligible to compete at the Provincial Competition at the C.N.E. Anyone wishing to enter this competition should contact the Ontario Department of Agricul- ture Office, Uxbridge, before Friday, July 3rd. Fire Safely On The Farm Ontario County 4-H. Agricul- tural Club members will attend a special Farm Safety Meeting to discuss "Fire Safety on the Farm", as their next regular meeting. Hall Wednesday, June 24th, 8,00 p.m., Cannington Brock High School, Thursday, June 25th, 8.00 p.m., Uxbridge High School.
