'Miss Mary Bradburn took a Lone Ranger light weight camping trip Friday and Satur- day and was the first Lone Ranger to win this test. She was tested by Mrs. Nelson of Port Perry. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Sam- ells spent four days last week Grows To A Height Of 6° 10" The two Scotch Thistles seen in the above picture, in one year grew to the height of 6' Bond, Prince Albert. 10" in the garden of Mr. Arthur Mr. Bond who is an ardent gardener found one of these plants on the roadside last fall, and planted it in his garden. ..However, the plant died, but apparently seeds must have fallen from it, and the result to day, after one year of growth, are the plants seen above. The picture was taken by a son of Mr. Bond, and a neighbour, Mr. Frank Gibson had the Department of Lands and Forests identify them as Scotch Thistles.
