Sept. 7th The interior of the main building at Port Perry Fair Grounds has had a "face lift- ing" for this year's fair. The ceiling has been lowered and the old plastered walls have been replaced by plywood. This should make it all the more attractive for the lad- ies who are placing their var- ious domestic creations on display in this building. Entries are coming in very well for all exhibits, light and heavy horses, ponies, and the horse racing events are ex- pected to be filled, same as previous years. A fair would never be a fair without the customary Mid- way, a clown and band. These attractions will all be there, and it's the members from Orono who are "striking up the band". The Regional Holstein Show will again this year be one of the main features, and cattle classes will be represented by Aberdeens, Herefords, Short- horns and Guernseys, Hospital Report For week ending August 29th Admissions .................... 12 Operations .......ccceee...eee. 10 Births .ocoevevveecniieiennens 1 Deaths .coviveeeviiieiiiiens 1 Discharges ........ccecervuennene 21 Remaining ...The Port Perry Lions Club have recent- ly purchased a new wheel chair for the use of crippled children and adults, Thejabove photo shows the new chair and fourimem- bers of the Lions Club.
