Our best wishes for happiness and prosperity go with them. _ Saturday evening a number of friends met at the school for a social time and during the evening a gift was presented to Mr. and Mrs. Jerrold Asling. Dr. Pat Asling was hostess at a shower at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. Donald Asling in honour of Miss Joyce Strong who will be united in marriage with one of our Ep- som boys in a couple of weeks. Miss Beth Ashton was also hostess for a family shower for Joyce at the home of her par- ents Mr. and Mrs. H. Ashton. The sanctuary was dedicated last Sunday when the congregation and former members and friends joined to- reshylerians Dedicate New 'Sanciuary gether in a special service of thanksgiving and dedication, conducted by their minister, Rev. H. M. Buntain, B.A. The redecorating of the sanctuary took place during the month of August when the congregation worshipped in combined services with the Port Perry United Church. ) --Staff Photo read the address. Misses Elaine Medd, and Darlene Christie and Mrs. Gary Jackson assisted the bride with her many lovely gifts. ! Pat and Jim thanked all for their kindness. Pat also made a farewell speech as she will be leaving the church, Sunday School and Choir which she has served so faithfully ever: since she was old enough to hum a tune.
