The bride is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Allan Downey of Myrtle and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Archie McMil- lan, R.R. 1, Blackwater. The Reverend 8S, J. Hillier of Brooklin officiated and the sol- oist was Mr. Kenneth Skerratt of Utica who sang "The Lord's Prayer", "Wedding Prayer" and "T'll Walk Beside You" accom- panied by Mrs. Jack Beaton of Whitby. Given in marriage by her fa- ther, the bride wore a classical gown of pure silk organza over taffeta. The bodice featured a bateau neckline and lily-point sleeves and was adorned with imported Alencon lace. The floor-length, bell-shaped skirt was dramatized by a cathedral train of Alencon lace, held at __the shoulders by minature bows, ! Her headdress of crystal pen- dants held a tiered, bouffant veil of pure silk illusion and she carried a cascade of yellow roses and ivy trails. Miss Marilyn Downey of Myrtle was her: sister's maid of honor. The bridegroom's mother chose a two-piece dress of red brocade, black and white As the couple left on their wedding trip to the west coast, piece light blue wool suit, white hat and black accessories and a corsage of pink roses. On their return the couple will reside at 'R.R. 1, Black- water.
