The letter was received from W. Bruce Affleck, Crown. At- torney, where he explains that court facilities are better in Port Perry and will eliminate some of the congestion of court cases in the County. Combined court went into effect Wednesday, September 16th and will continue every al- ternate Wednesday, commenc- ing at 10.00 am." Plowing Match To Draw 100,000 Peterboro, Ont.--The biggest sod turning this city has ever seen is scheduled for Oct. 7 to 10. These are the dates for this vear's International. Plowing Match which is expected to draw a gate exceeding 100,000. Officials have taken the theme "Nothing Before Like '64," and it looks like they might be right. Exhibit space for agricultural machinery and the like has been sold out for weeks. Hotels and motels in and outside Peterboro are booked solid. It's the first time a plowing match has been held within the confines of a city. So acute is the demand for accommodation that a special billeting committee had to be set up to seek space in private homes, To date, some 300 homeowners have responded, but many, many more will be needed. Danish Breeders At Local Farm 83 Danish Holstein Breeders on a tour of Ontario, paid a visit to. Roy Ormiston's farm, Roybrook, near Brooklin one day last week. The breeders have. visited 12 other farms in the Toronto area exchanging ideas with Ontario farmers. Among the visiting group were also Ontario livestock breeders and farm writers. Opens SA Citadel Hon. M. B. Dymond, Ontario Minister of Health and Hon. M. Starr, Federal M.P. were guests at the opening of the new Salvation Army Citadel in Uxbridge last Saturday. Both addressed the gathering in the attractively re-built home of the organization, and local ministers from all denomina- ! tions took part in the service.
