Misses Bonnie and Gall Malcolm, Nestleton, accom- panied on the piano by their mother, sang two duets "The Path of rrayer" and "Count your Biessings". Mrs. Kenneth Lee thanked the Malcolms. A film "This 1s my kriend" show- ing what help some friendliness and concern for aged and shut- ins, can do to cheer and help them. Meeting closed with prayer by Miss Hyacinth Bothe of Jamaica. Lunch of make-your-own sandwiches and coffee and a social time was then enjoyed. 19 members and 7 visitors attended. Holy Communion was admin- istered in the United Church Sunday morning. Rev. Romeril preached on "The Bread from Heaven", The choir sang an Anthem "Trusting in His Grace until I see Him Face to Face". It was Harvest Thanksgiving Service in St. John's Church, Canon Ashmore preached on "Now Thank we all our God". The Sacrament of Holy Com- munion was administered. The church was beautifully and pro- lifically decorated with flowers and vegetables. Mrs. Jamieson and girls and Mrs. Johnston and girls, Brook- lin were Saturday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Malcolm and family. Mr. and Mrs, Harry Stanley and boys are holidaying in Penn, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Larmer and family visited Mr. and Mrs. Eber Snowdon, Courtice, Sun- day. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Larmer returned home Tuesday from a pleasant visit with her sister and niece and family in Dun- can, B.C. Taylor, Port Perry and Miss Pauline Jemison, Toronto, spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs, John Hamil- ton. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Wricht and family and Mr. Roy Feor- guson were Sunday sunoer guests of Mr, and Mrs. Noel Morton and boys, Oshawa on the occasion of David's fourth birthday. Miss Aileen Van Camp was hostess for a kitehen shower for Miss Beth McMullen Friday evening. A very pleasant time was snent and the bride-to-be was the recipient of many use- ful gifts. Mr. and Mrs. Percy VanCamp visited Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hcw- den, Ida, Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Orr Venning visited Mr. and Mrs, Ralph Wood and attended Bobcaygeon fair Saturday. Saturday evening Mrs. Wal- ter Lawrence was hostess for a miscellaneous shower for Mary Passant, a bride-to-be. About 20 guests enjoyed a pleasant evening.
