Then the Sunday School pupils present a Christmas pageant, complete with the main characters Mary and Joseph, the angels( shep- herds and wise men and even the inn-keeper and King Herod. The choir provided much of the music and Elizabeth Nodwel], "Who took the part of Mary, s sang Mary's Lullaby. All the junior members took part in present- ing white gifts which will be sent to Fred Viétor Mission. 'This pageant meant consider- able work for the directors: -- Mrs, G. Wanamaker, Mrs, Cliff Short, Mrs. M. Bruce, Mrs. L. Nicholls' and Mrs. Chas. Short, but it was very worthwhile. On Monday evening of last week a congregational meeting was held for discussion of amal- gamation of district churches. Rev. Crawford, Omemee, chair- man of the boundaries com- mittee explained the situation and told of gatherings already held. This meeting was of an exploratory mature and no de. cisions were made. A further meeting of Greenbank and Sea- |' grave boards is called for Tues, this week. Mr. Robt. Moses suffered an unusual mishap last week. The car in which he was riding was involved in an accident in which! a thermos of hot tea burst, scalding his foot quite badly. Mr. Bert Dowson spent sev- eral days in Toronto with Mr. FRAN 8-Gord oft Myke Yeo ports that Mrs. Dowson is do- ing nicely and hopes to be dis- charged from hospital this week. Word has also been re- ceived that Mr, Donald Dowson was being married Sat., Dec. § in Australia. Mr. and Mrs. M. Bruce at- tended the Beadle-O-Perry wed- ding in Oshawa on Saturday. We are sorry to hear that Mrs. S. Perkins suffered a severe stroke and is seriously ill in Port Perry Hospital. Mr. and Mrs, L.
