An invitation had gone to the husbands, but too many other activities. The meeting opened wih The Ode and Collect. President welcomed the vyisitors. During the business period, letters of thanks were read from Nancy Dorrell for prize received at Commencement and from Mr. Albert Wright for fruit. The Treasurer was authorized to send the $60.00 to sponsor ad- opted boy for another year. The short course on Copper Tooling is to be held April 29 '& 30, 1965. Good Cheer committee were authorized to prepare and take boxes of fruit to shut-ins for Christmas. Roll Call was an- swered with, A Christmas mem- ory and a gift for the Child- ren's Aid at Port Hope. Meeting was turned over to Mrs. 'Kenneth Samells, group leader. The motto--Christmas is what you makKe it, was ably dealt with by Mrs. Chas. Smith. Mrs. Russell Mountjoy gave Current Events. Mrs. Cecil Hill read "What do people want for Christmas", Mrs. Samells read "Mothers Christmas Cake" and "Christmas Visits". A card was signed to be sent to Miss Ethel Thompson on _her 90th birthday. Mrs. Charles Smith then showed lovely colored pic- tures taken on their trip to the' West Coast this summer. Mrs. Lorne Thompson played a piano solo. Some Carols were sung, then The Queen. Lunch 'was served by the- group and a social visit enjoyed. The Messenger Meeting was attended by 27 children and 2 leaders on Tuesday. They com- menced with work on the scrap books of Trinidad.
