"Thank you for your letter of 5th January, 1965 concerning the progress on the Zoning By- Law. We would advise that we have now received the comments from the Community Planning Branch of the Ontario Depart- ment of Municipal Affairs and find that the points raised are of a sufficiently minor nature that it does not appear neces- sary to hold a further meeting with Planning Board and Coun- cil before the Public Meeting to present the proposed Zoning By-Law to the public in general. Accordingly we propose to | forward to you copies of the revised text in the near future and would suggest that consid- eration be given to arranging the Public Meeting early in February. Prior to the Public Meeting we will forward descriptive plans which can be displayed in the Municipal Offices for public view, and Council may also wish to have copies of the Zoning By-Law available for review at the same time. We would suggest that the Public Meeting be set for Tues- day, Wednesday or Thursday, 2nd, 3rd, 4th February or the corresponding mid-week days in the following week. When this date has been set you should advertise in the local press pre- ferably one week prior to the date set for the Meeting in order that proper notice be given to all Ratepayers of the purpose and intent of the Meet- ing. We are pleased that the Zon- ing By-Law Is now nearing fin- alization and hope that the meeting is well attended. After the Public Meeting Council should formally consider the passing of the Zoning By-Law and then apply to the Ontario Municipal Board for a hearing." Deaths SAMUEL H.
