Pee Wees Down Huntsville Advance To Port Perry Pee Wees earned 'the right to advance into the Ontario semi-final play-offs by defeating Huntsville 10-6 in their two game total goal series, After playing to a 3-8 tie in Port Perry they travelled by bus to Huntsville last Sun- day for the return game and came out on top with a 7-3 win, Huntsville started the scor- ing in the first period when White and Bennett combined to give Huntsville a 1-0 lead. This advantage was short lived how- ever as Port Perry bounced back with two. unanswered goals by Jody Williams and Dale Hal- lett. Huntsville tied the game at two apiece in the second period while Port Perry was held scoreless. Port Perry went out in front in the third on a goal by Ken Irvine ,and held the lead until White got his second of the af- ___termoon to tie up the series| " with 80 seconds left to play and put the game into overtime. The local lads came to life in this 10 minute overtime period and scored four unan- swered goals by Jody Williams, Ken. Irvine, Dave Brown and Ron Phinney. ] All Port Perry players played well and deserved the win and the right to advance to the semi finals - against Napanee. The Semi - Finals first game of this series will be played here in the local arena this Saturday at 6.80 p.m. The local fans have been giv- ing good support to this team with about 180 from the district trevelling to Huntsville to see the game.
