K, Crawford who has guided negotiations through out, was not present as the churches concerned had decided that with the spirit of co-opera- tion shown at previous gather- ings, it would not be necessary to have Mr. Crawford come from Omemee. Rev. D. Harris occupied the chair for most of the meeting, and Glenn Wana- maker acted 'as secretary. Officers elected for the new official board were: -- Recording Steward-- Geo. Beare Central Treasurer-- Howard McMillan M. & M. Treasurer-- Doug McMillan Lay Rep. to Presbytery-- Glenn Wanamaker Percentages for shared ex- penses were changed slightly from 649% to 60% for Green- bunk, from 24% to 25% for Seagrave and from 12% to 156% for Pinedale. As there will be much more work for the minister, both the salary and travelling exppnses were adjusted upward. Advice will be asked from Presbytery as to whether an induction service for Mr. Harris at Seagrave will be adviseable. Both units of the U.C.W. met last week:--No. 1 at the home of Mrs. Nodwell on Monday evening, and No, 2 with Mrs. R. Reynolds on Tuesday evening. EFuch unit had 17 members pre- sent. Plans were made for general meetings, for catering to sales and for providing food for the Spring Tea on April 24, The South-West ladies are sponsoring a variety entertain- ment on May 14, put on by the Scarborough AOTS(as one that serves) Glee Club. Back again to Peterboro on Sunday went Mr. and Mrs, Ken Sturman and Carol Ann. This time they are helping celebrate an anniversary for their friends Mi. and Mrs. Sinclair. For devotional at Sunday ScHool the Jr. Girl's class gave an Easter arcostic spelling out "Jesus Lives' and also sang a hymn. Catherine Nicholls, one of the class was their accom- penist, Neil Wanamaker was super- intendent and there was an at- tendance of 90. ' At the service next Sunday (Palm Sunday) the sacrament of The Lord's Supper will be observed, Easter Sunday will be "All-out" Sunday and also the occasion of the presentation and dedication of 2 crosses given by Mrs. S. Reynolds in memory of her late husband. Dame Rumour says wedding bells are in the program of a certain Sonya gentleman. This chap is quite at home at wed- dings--no problem there. Port Perry Rod & Gun Club On Thursday evening, March 18th the nfembers of the Port Perry Rod and Gun Club took a bus trip to the Sportsmen's Show. We were pleased with the good turn out, 86 in at- tendance. On the return trip, aside from . the general complaints of tired, aching feet ,all agreed it was a very good trip, and the ex- hibits were very interesting.
