Brother Born in Prince Albert, Ont. SEAGRAVE NEWS A large Anniversary congre- gation listened to our youngest soloist at thd service on Sun- Cay morning. He was four year ola Jimmy Hallett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hallett, who sang "Jesus Loves Me" and did it well, We have enjoyed music from the Hallett family for years and now it looks as if the third generation is going to curry on the family tradition. Xhe regular choir plus the Junior choir from the S. S. fill- ed the choir loft and pulpit platform to overflowing and provided chorus numbers which were appreciated by all. Guest speaker was Rev. Ken- neth Crawford, Omemee who spoke on the story of David and Geliath and gave a tape record- irg of that event. Quite a large number enjoy- ed lunch after the service. It would be impossible to tame all the old-timers 'who came from a distance but we were glad to sce them all and renew friendships. In some such as the Boes and Scotts it amounted to a family reunion as well as an anniver- sary. Those who didn't mind shiv- fering a bit enjoyed two ball | gemes over the week-end, On | Saturday the Braves defeated Manilla but were themselves de- | feated in an overtime on Sun- 'day by Little Britain. Through ignorance we last week omitted Bill Wanamaker's name from the list of players. Apparently ' he was on hand and giving a good account of himself on Saturday. cases [ Seagiave's teen - age trio-- | Sharyn Short, Crystal Monahan rand Marilyn MeMillan accom- panied by Sylvia Wanamaker helped entertain at the dance John Bright and Sharon Mona- | han kept the "show going by | working behind the scenes. | On Saturday Mr. Neil Wana- | maker and Miss Donna Graham were guests in Willowdale at the marriage of Miss Sharon Peterkin to Mr. Ian Fraser. Last Sunday while visiting W. Brown, Prince Albert had the misfortune to fall and break her hip. She was taken to Port Perry Hgspital but later re- moved to Oshawa. The Hurst family picnic took place on Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Allan Bertrand. | About 75 relatives enjoyed the picnic (mainly in the house). ! During the afternoon a bride- to-be Miss Marion Hurst was | presented with gifts from the family. On Thursday Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Michie, New Toronto call- ed on Mr. & Mrs. John Michie, with her sister Mrs. Sleep, Mrs. | = Obituary ALMA F.
