Then on Sunday afternoon and evening the Moon family and hangers- on assembled at "Ocean House" to honour Bill and Ila on their 29th wedding anniversary and also to celebrate the birthday of Mrs. Dorset, Bill's sister from England. She neglected to mention her age. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Barr and family are no longer visitors but citizens. They defied super- stition and moved to their new home on Friday. Welcome. Seagrave church seems to be engrossed with last things. As a charge we have had the last things. As a charge we have had the last official board meeting, the last communion, and next week will have the last service when we meet with Zion and Pleasant Pt. at 10 a.m. But let us not get bogged down in sentiment, let us look ahead in- stead of back and do our best He LOTTA (ky A LINES D LISTEN GIRLS-PLEASE | LEND AN EAR -- / VE PERSONALIZED BEAUTY SUGGESTIONS FOR YoU \ GLENETTE BEAUTY SALON (Glenda Taylor, Prop.) 985-7991 to make a success of the new arrangements, At the official board meeting on Thursday evening final odd bits of old business were'clear- ed up and plans made for the services of the next two Sun- days. The Induction service for Rev. D. Harris will be con- ducted by Rev. E. McNeil and the sermon given by Rev. K, Crawford, Omemee as newly elected chairman of Presbytery. This seems quite right and pro- per in this case. 7.30 p.m. is the time. / The Wilkings family will be well-remembered here. On Fri- day, Mr. & Mrs, Roy Wilkings Jr. and Mrs. Eva Donaldson, Toronto called on Mrs. Thomp- son & Mrs. F. Watson. "Young Roy", not so young now and still a bachelor, has just arrived home after 6 years in Europe with the R.C.A.F.--3 years in Germany and 3 years in France. His next posting will be in Quebec. Did you miss our hospital re- port the last few weeks? This week is different. First Mrs. Hunter was hospi- talized in Port Perry for a few days with a respiratoy illness. Then the doctors decided Mr. Orville Boe needed a good long rest to help an ailing heart so he is in hospital now. On Thursday Miss Jean Bright entered St, Joseph's Hospital, Toronto for surgery to correct a bone fault. We hope she doesn't fall in love with the place and decide to stay 11 months like that Turkish gentle- man. We hope to see all these peo- ple around soon. The baseball game scheduled for Tuesday was cancelled but the Braves felt pretty good on Saturday night. Score--Sonya a EEEEE------ EE I IRE Mr. and Mrs. Walter Fishley, Brooklin. Congratulations. Mr. Ken Sturman was acting Supt, and the lesson was read by two up-and-coming young gentlemen--Calvin Nicholls and Larry Short. The birthday box yielded about as much as usual.
