President Don Cochrane then introduced his fellow exe- cutive members, One of the major highlights of the evening was the presen- tation of a plaque to Past Pre- sident Carl Luke by President Don Tochrane. On the plaque was the following: "To Carl Luke, 1st President P.P. & D. M.S.A. 1963-64. For services rendered to Minor Softball." This was a small token of ap- preciation to a man who has de- voted a tremendous amount of time and effort to the youth of Port Perry. On the diamond the Tykes, boys aged from 5 to 7 years were each given a turn at bat. - These boys are split into two teams; the Braves and the Giants. They play each Sat. morning at 10 a.m. and are coached by Jim Irvine, Al Rahm, Jack Owens, Al Wackett & Vin Walker. It appeared that the fans were pleased with the show put on by these young boys. ! A two inning Squirt Game | between Cartwright and Tigers | was won by the Cartwright! boys; and a two inning Pee Wee game followed with Emmersons defeating the Bisons. The main attraction was a seven inning game between Genosha Aces of Oshawa and our own Tripp Const. Juveniles, This game was very well played 'with the Oshawa boys winning 2 to 0.
