The Rev. A. G. Rice officiated at the double ring ceremony. The soloist Miss Dianne Hall sang "The Lord's Prayer" and "Because" accompanied by Miss Gloria Hastings. Given in marriage by her fa- ther, the bride wore a formal gown of white organza over taffeta. The fitted bodice of Chantilly lace had a scoop neckline and lily-point sleeves. Similar lace was appliqued on| the bell-shaped skirt. Her| crown of crystal and pearl held her shoulder length veil of nylon | tulle, and she carried a cascade | of red "sweetheart roses and white pinocchio mums. The maid of honour Miss] Irene Blain, sister of the groom and bridesmaids, Miss Connie Carnegie & Miss Donna Wake-, ford, sister of the bride were! gowned alike in street length dresses of apple green peau de soie taffeta styled by the bride's mother. They wore matching wedding band head pieces and carried cascades of Shasta | Daisies. Mr. Ronald Willerton, R.R. 2, Port Perry acted as best man and the ushers were Mr. Allan Blain, brother of the groom, and Mr. Lenard Greenwood, Stouff- ville, cousin of the groom. The 2nd company Port Perry Guides formed a guard of hon- our at the entrance of the church in honour of their form- or lieutenant. The reception was held at the Masonic Hall, Port Perry where the bridé's mother received, wearing a dress of gold import- ed silk crepe with applique of french lace trin Her acces- sories were in Rn brown and she wore a corsage of talisman roses. The groom's mother as- gisted wearing a silk brocade dress in peacock blue with mat- | cious lunch was served by Pam | as co-hostess Port Perry ching jacket. Her accessories were white and she wore a cor- sage of red roses. For their honeymoon trip the bride chose a yellow suit of silk nub linen accented by a match- ing blouse and hat of yellow & white silk taffeta. Her corsage was a beautiful yellow orchid. Out of town guests were pre- sent from Florida, Owen Sound, Stouffville, Toronto, Port Cre- dit, Weston and Port Perry. * * * Prior to her wedding Anne Marie Wakeford was entertain- at a miscellaneous shower by Mrs. Gordon Goode and Mrs. Harold Knight. After the gifts wer opened by Anné, a penny quiz game was played. A deli- and Jeanne, after which Anne thanked her guests for the love- ly gifts and invited all to visit her. Mrs. Les. Beacock and her | sister Mrs. L. Devitt, Oshawa, and neighbour Mrs. N, Wilson held a pantry shower in Prince Albert for the bride elect. The guides of the 2nd Comp- any gave the bride-to-be a cup and soucer shower at the Scout Hall. The couple were honoured at a presentation at the home of Mr. Ralph Somerville in the form of a euchre party. The couple were pleasantly surpris- ed when presented with a pole lamp and a double tiered cake tray. Before leaving the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce the staff presented Anne with a gift of a deep fryer. Mrs. Wilbert Wakeford held a trousseau tea for her daughter on Saturday, May 8th at her home. The couple are residing at 124 Broadway, Apt. 216, Toronto. ?
