Under the authority of this "Act" anyone wishing to set a fire during the fire sea- son for purposes other than cooking or obtaining warmth must first obtain a 'burning permit", The fire season is April 1 to October 31, but if a dry warm spring or fall suggests _the Minister should invoke this re- gulation earlier or continue it later, he does so. Burning permits are free and obtainable from all Lands and Forests offices in the district as well as some Fire Wardens. If you have planned some cleanup burning around your cottage, hunt camp, or farm, phone or write the District Of- fice for the name of the issu- ing agent nearest the proposed burning location. Almost everyone engages in some cleanup activities and if a fire is the easiest means by which the inevitable accumula- tion of rubbish, dead vegetation, irreparable furniture, etc. can be disposed of safély, this De- partment makes no effort to forbid such a project. Not everyone, however, plan- ning to use this method in his Church Services ANGLICAN CHURCH OF ASCENSION Rev, James S. Cunningham Priest-in-charge Sunday, July 25th-- 11.30 a.m.--Morning Prayer J. R.
